BROOKSVILLE GALLERY 201 ANNOUNCES A CALL TO ARTISTS

Florida Native Call for Art

Anything Florida is suited for this exhibit, just make it native! What is a Florida native? Artwork ideas can be anything from native plants, animal species, and specific peoples to more creative submissions like paintings that serve as tributes to the Native land we live on. You can express what it means to be a Floridian in the modern age, living in the present while remembering our past and walking into the future.

Dazzle Brooksville and beyond with your individual style and/or mastered techniques. Sculptures, ceramics, glass, 3-D, digital art will also be considered. Name your work after the inspiration. The artwork images must be submitted for approval prior to arrival at the Gallery. Images can be emailed to cityart@brooksville.us.

Once the artwork is approved, artists must complete the entry form for the selected work. Dates for drop off of new exhibit artwork and pick of previous exhibit artwork will begin Friday, March 24, 2023, through Friday, March 31, 2023, between the hours of 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. Hours outside of that timeframe are by appointment only.

All artworks must be ‘gallery ready’ to hang with wire securely attached to the back or bottom of your work along with display cards. Display cards must include title of piece, medium, artist, price. If the piece is not for sale, please state that on the card. Student work is welcome.

The reception for “Florida Native” will be Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Brooksville Gallery 201 located at Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville, FL. The reception is from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with music and refreshment and is open to the public
