The existing Water Plant Building on Lamar Avenue was constructed in the 1920's, over 100 years ago. The existing building has reached its useful life and is in need of partial demolition and replacement. Several components within the building, including plumbing, pumps, electrical panels, fluoride injection systems and other components will need to remain in place and functioning during demolition and reconstruction. This effort is being undertaken to ensure citizens receive clean, reliable and safe water. It is vital that necessary repairs and reconstruction be made to provide a safe, secure area for staff to work in, and to protect and provide an uninterrupted water supply to the community.
