This position requires operation of and operator maintenance of collection and transportation vehicles of solid waste and/or recyclable materials using a rear-loader garbage truck, mobile-boom truck, recycle truck, and street sweeping vehicles. The employees will be required to safely operate a solid waste vehicle in close, confined locations as well as in the presence of other vehicles and pedestrians. Work schedules will vary and may include nights, weekends and/or holidays and call outs in emergencies. Position is supervised by the Sanitation Operations Supervisor. $10.56 hr., 40 hours a week with great benefits.

This is an Administrative and Supervisory position that requires extensive knowledge of Utility billing processes and procedures. This position is responsible for organizing, directing, and coordinating activities involving utility accounts payable and receivable, billing and/or financial reporting, and quality customer service. Position is supervised by the Finance Director or designee. $14.81 hr., full-time with excellent benefits.

FINANCE DIRECTOR- Professional & administrative position responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating & directing the complex financial activities of the City. Responsible for administering, directing & coordinating all accounting, budgeting, debt management, collection of revenues, investments & fiscal activities of the City. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related with ten years + experience. The Brooksville Police Department, a Florida Accredited Law Enforcement Agency, is accepting applications from those interested candidates that are Florida Certified, or those that meet the E.O.T qualifications.
The selected candidate will undergo a Standardized Field Training program earning $17.00 per hour, with benefits. Upon successful completion of the program, the candidate will earn $17.56 - $19.00 per hour, with benefits, DOQ.
Benefits: 2184/12 hour shift schedule, 10 vacation days, 10 sick days (yearly sick buyback plan) and 12 paid holidays per year; employee medical, dental and life insurance plan; 185 pension plan, (6 year vest, 1% paid by employee, 4% multiplier); "take home" police vehicle upon completion of FTO, as per City distance limitations/policy..
Minimum Education & Experience: Must be at least 19 years of age and a citizen of the United States. Graduate from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Must not have been convicted of a felony, misdemeanor involving perjury or the making of false claims; must not have received a other than Honorable/Dishonorable discharge from any of the armed forces in the United States. Must pass a physical examination with a drug screen; must demonstrate good moral character. Must successfully compete a background investigation, including a polygraph examination and physical agility test. Must be able to successfully complete all training requirements including the State required police academy curriculum, field training program, periodic in-service training and weaponry qualifications and a one-year probationary period. Must be either a Florida State certified law enforcement officer, a graduate of a Florida police academy having passes the Florida State Officer Certification Exam, or a certified officer from another state who completes the Florida State Equivalency course.
Special Requirements: Must possess a valid Florida Class E Driver's license and be insurable by the City's insurance carrier.
