This is a Community Development Department support position. Employee is responsible for administrative and inspection work involved in the enforcement of City zoning, land use, property maintenance and related ordinances and regulations. Office work and related inspections are performed as directed by supervisor. Independent impartial judgment decisions are made within established guidelines. Reviews new construction plans and specifications for compliance with City zoning/land use requirements. Information requests, complaints and reported violations are processed. This position is supervised by the Community Development Director.

**THIS IS A TEMP POSITION**

This position requires skilled work in the collection and transportation of solid waste using a front loader collection truck. The work is performed individually which requires a positive attitude to maintain efficient job production. Incumbents perform driving and loading duties, perform daily and weekly equipment safety, cleaning, lubrication and other maintenance tasks. Work schedules  may vary and include nights, weekends and/or holidays, and call outs in emergencies. Bulk container ("Dumpster") collection represents the main commercial Solid Waste service provided by the City. Position is supervised by the Sanitation Operations Supervisor.

This position is temporary full-time to last approximately six (months) from the date of hire , no benefits. Starting pay $12.69 hourly, depending on experience. Applications will be accepted until filled.

Employees in this demanding position must have the training, experience and ability to perform the complex duties and responsibilities required to provide the administrative, technical and clerical support required by the Police Chief or designee. Employee is responsible for performing a broad range of duties requiring advanced skills in data entry/word processing, preparation of correspondence, research and report preparation for which there may be no precedent. Highly technical position in the  installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical power, control and instrumentation systems at city-owned water, wastewater and reclaim water installations. Primary functions are directed through and supervised by the Utilities Superintendent.
