An employee in this position is responsible for performing lead tasks of above average difficulty and assisting in the implication of more complex assignments, usually at an assigned community center or playground area. Under general supervision, the employee is expected to plan activities and programs within the guidelines established by the supervisor, and to schedule activities insuring that adequate supplies, transportation and other necessary items are available. The employee is required to exercise reasonable judgment in supervising, coordinating and promoting recreation activities. Scheduled programs might require the employee to work irregular hours including nights and weekends. Work is reviewed through observation, conferences, reports submitted and results obtained. Primary functions are directed through and supervised by the Park/Facilities and Recreation Director. $12.94 hr, full-time with benefits. FINANCE DIRECTOR- Professional & administrative position responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating & directing the complex financial activities of the City. Responsible for administering, directing & coordinating all accounting, budgeting, debt management, collection of revenues, investments & fiscal activities of the City. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related with ten years + experience. This is a position responsible for enforcing the Laws of the State of Florida and City of Brooksville Code of Ordinances. Duties include, but are not limited to, modern patrol techniques including a working knowledge of Community policing practices, defensive tactics, traffic control, police vehicle safety, firearms, investigations, first responder techniques. Knowledge of criminal justice system and courtroom procedures required , along with daily public contact requiring tact, courtesy and interpersonal communication skills. Supplemental academic incentive pay for eligible employees. Education: High School Diploma or GED, Florida State Certified Law Enforcement Officer.
