 VISION STATEMENT

 The VISION of Brooksville Fire Rescue is to provide our  residents, businesses, and visitors in our community emergency services designed to minimize risk, and protect lives and property. We will strive to meet these goals by providing prompt and professional emergency response in the event of a fire, medical emergency, natural disaster, or any other hazards which may threaten our community and welfare.

 


MISSION STATEMENT

The MISSION of Brooksville Fire Rescue is to be recognized by our community, and citizens as a “Standard of Excellence” in providing efficent fire and emergency medical services through community education, and prevention. In doing so we will foster a community equity of trust, involvement, and cohesion in response to the concerns and needs of the citizens of our community. 

 
Interim Fire Chief Print

Interim Chief Snowberger

Interim Chief Snowberger has 35 years of extensive experience in Fire and Emergency services. He previously retired as Fire Chief of the Mount Dora Fire Department after serving in that City for 28 years. He also served as the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations within the City of DeLand for approximately 7 years. He holds an Associate degree in fire science from Lake Sumter State College and a Bachelors degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University. Interim Chief Snowberger is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program and he is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Administration. He previously served a term as the President of the Lake Sumter Fire Chiefs Association and Chief Snowberger has held memberships in the Central Florida Fire Chiefs Association, the Florida Fire Chiefs Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs.

BROOKSVILLE FIRE RESCUE RECEIVES IMPROVED PUBLIC PROTECTION CLASSIFICATION!
Brooksville Fire Rescue is proud to announce the new PPC for Brooksville Fire Rescue effective July 1, 2014 is a PPC 3. This new classification also brings the fire department to join the ranks of the top 7.7% of the fire departments in our nation who have a PPC three (3).  Click here to read the full story. Special Details Print


Brooksville Firefighters are available to work special details for events that require fire protection such as sporting events, bon-fires, fireworks, demolition derbies, tractor pulls etc.   The cost is $27.00/hour with a 3-hour minimum.  To schedule a Special Detail contact District Chief Stan Mettinger at 352-540-3840 or you may download the form and fax to 352-544-5462.

Organizational Structure and Staffing Print

The Organizational Structure of the Brooksville Fire Department consist of an administrative section that includes the Fire Chief and Administrative Assistant. The Operations Section consists of:

• Three District Chiefs
• Three Captains
• Three Driver / Engineers
• Seven Firefighter / EMT's
