Tower 61

Tower 61
  • Tower 61 is a 70 ft. Quint purchased in 2006 from the Sutphen Corporation and is compliant with the applicable equipment pursuant to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines and has a 2000 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) pump.

Engine 61

Engine 61

    •  Engine 61 is a Class-A Pumper purchased in 2000 from American LaFrance Corporation and is compliant with the applicable equipment per NFPA and has a 1500 GPM pump. Engine 61 serves as a “Heavy Engine” equipped with the “Jaws of Life” for immediate deployment of heavy extrication operations when needed. 

 

 Brush 61

  • Brush 61 is a fast attack vehicle purchased in 2000 from the Hallmark Corporation and is equipped with a 250 Gallon water tank and 125 pump. It is used primarily for wildland response.

  • Haz-Mat 61 serves as one of three units that make up the Hernando County Hazardous Materials Team that was established in 2003/2004 and is overseen by Hernando County Emergency Management. Haz-Mat 61 is a truck and trailer combination made up of 1998 Dodge Pick put that pulls a 16 ft. enclosed trailer equipped for Hazardous Materials response.

  • Chief 60 is a 2007 Ford Expedition and is used by the Fire Chief to conduct day to day administrative duties and is equipped for first response.

  • District Chief 60 is a 1998 Dodge 3500 Ram Pickup used by the District Chiefs to conduct day to day fire and medical operations in the City. This unit is equipped with a slide out tray that carries first response equipment necessary to support the DC performing their duties.

  • Staff 61 is a Ford Expedition used by fire department staff in a support role for special events, schooling and fire prevention.
