in honor of Joseph E. Johnston III's over 22 years of lifetime service as a City Council Member and lifelong, beloved resident of the City of Brooksville.

 
City Advisory Board Vacancies Print

Please volunteer and get involved in your community!  The City Council for the City of Brooksville is now accepting applications from individuals interested in volunteering their time to serve as a member of the following advisory boards or commissions:

Brooksville Housing Authority Board

One (1) Alternate position to fill an unexpired  four-year term through May 31, 2017.  This board meets the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. 

Planning and Zoning Commission

One (1) Alternate position for an unexpired four-year term ending December 31, 2016.

Members must be City residents and are required to file a Financial Statement.

NOTE:

City Council honors retirement of Utilities Superintendent Print

 City Department of Public Works Superintendent of Utilities, William S. "Smitty" Smith, retired on June 30, 2016, after more than 33 years of service.  At their meeting on July 18th, City Council honored Mr. Smith with a proclamation in appreciation of all his contributions to the City and its residents.  Mr. Smith was an integral part of the design, engineering and construction of the Cobb Road Water Reclamation Facility and it was determined that hereinafter it will be known as the "William S. Smith Water Reclamation Facility".
